For many years, I've worked with people on clear and confident communication, dynamic presentation skills, vocal development & care for professional voice users, personal communication skills, stress management, time management and motivation.
Besides coaching oral communication I work with people on speech writing for professional, business and social situations.
I've also coached actors, helping them develop and hone their acting, interpretive, audition and vocal skills as well as care for their voices.
For four years I taught Voice Studies to students of The Actor's Course at the National Theatre Drama School (Melbourne)
Short contract positions with Swinburne University, designing and delivering the English component
for overseas students studying short, work-related courses.
I taught senior English at High School and also Drama for a number of years.
Workshops & Seminars
Here's a sample of some of them -
- being commissioned to design and teach a series of acting workshops to actors with a non-English speaking background, in order to showcase them to industry members;
- designing and conducting a session on Translating Expressively for the Australian Sign Language Interpreters' Association Conference;
- Vocal Care for professional voice users.
Acting and Directing
I've worked on TV; in short film; co-written and co-directed a short film; acted in and directed numerous fringe theatre productions; and I'm still performing.
Since early 2001 I've been on air on Community Radio on 88.3FM, Southern FM.
I prepare and present 2 weekly health & wellbeing programmes:
